This Privacy Policy explains how ConneXt Inc. ("ConneXt", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use the ConneXt mobile application and related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information: your first and last name, email address, and password (stored only in encrypted/hashed form).
• Profile information: your headline, profession and field, current company, location (a city or region you type — not precise GPS), about section, pronouns, profile photo and cover image, skills, hobbies, and any featured photos or videos you add.
• Professional credentials: your work experience, education, and the professional licenses and certifications you add to your profile (such as issuing body, credential name, and dates). We use these to establish that members are licensed professionals.
• Content you create: posts, comments, reactions, reposts, and the messages you send to other members.
• Company pages: information you provide if you create or manage a company page, and job postings you create.
• Communications: information you send us when you contact support.

Information from third-party sign-in

If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic account information from that provider (such as your name and email address) to create or access your account. We do not receive your password for those accounts.

Information collected automatically

• Usage & analytics: activity used to power in-app analytics, such as profile views, post impressions, and search appearances, and general information about how the Service is used.
• Device & technical data: device type, operating system, app version, and log data needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Push notification tokens: if you enable notifications, we store a push token from Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) so we can deliver notifications to your device.

2. How we use your information

• To create your account and build and display your professional profile;
• To operate core features — the feed, connections, messaging, jobs, notifications, and company pages;
• To verify professional credentials and display verification status;
• To suggest relevant people, companies, and jobs;
• To send you notifications you have enabled and important service messages;
• To provide the in-app analytics shown on your own profile;
• To keep the Service safe — detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, and security issues;
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

3. How we share your information

We share information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.

• With other members: your profile, posts, comments, and other content are visible to other members according to the audience and visibility settings of that content. Messages are shared with the members you send them to.
• With service providers: vendors who process data on our behalf to run the Service (see section 4). They may only use the data to provide services to us.
• For legal reasons: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of ConneXt, our members, or the public.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Some content you shared with others (for example, a message you sent) may remain visible to those recipients.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can:

• Access and update most of your information directly in the app on your profile;
• Control notifications through your device settings;
• Delete your account and data at any time (see below);
• Contact us to exercise any privacy right at support@connextprofs.com.

We honor rights available under laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

We protect your information with industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, authenticated API access, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and continually improve our safeguards.

ConneXt is intended for licensed and credentialed professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International data transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
