Account & Data Deletion

Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)

You can permanently delete your account directly from the ConneXt app:

• Open the Menu (top-right of the home screen).
• Tap Delete Account.
• Confirm. Your account and associated personal data are permanently removed.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app, email us and we'll delete your account for you:

We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before deleting your account to protect you against unauthorized requests.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove your personal information from our active systems, including:

• Your account details (name, email, and password);
• Your profile — headline, about, location, pronouns, photos and cover image, skills, hobbies, and featured media;
• Your professional information — experience, education, and licenses & certifications;
• Your posts, comments, reactions, and reposts;
• Your connections, follows, and followers relationships;
• Your job applications and saved jobs;
• Stored push-notification tokens for your devices.

What may be retained

• Messages you sent to others may remain visible to those recipients, since a copy exists in their conversation.
• Limited records may be retained where we are legally required to keep them, or as needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our Terms. These are kept only as long as necessary and then deleted or de-identified.
• Aggregated or de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you may be retained.
• Backups are purged on a rolling basis as they cycle out of retention.

How long it takes

In-app deletion takes effect immediately. Email requests are typically completed within 30 days. Residual copies in backups are removed within our standard backup retention window.
